Dr. Kenneth Vandervoort Jr. is a native of Anniston, Alabama and graduate of the University of Alabama where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology.  During his years at Alabama, he was a linebacker on the Crimson Tide football team. He later received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 2012.  While in dental school, Dr. Vandervoort was active in the Christian Medical Ministries of Alabama and completed dental mission trips to Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic.

In 2013, Dr. Vandervoort completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry from the Foundry Dental Center in Bessemer, AL. It was here that he received additional training and excelled in the fields of implant dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and restorative dentistry.

Dr. Vandervoort followed a long time calling to military service in 2014, earning a commission in the United States Navy. He completed Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL Training (BUDS) to become a US Navy SEAL. He completed multiple combat deployments to the Middle East and a counter-narcotic deployment to Central and South America.

Dr. Vandervoort and his wife, Walton, have three children, Mac, Buddy, and Polly. He enjoys coaching his children in a variety of sports and spending time as a family outdoors. He is passionate about raising Godly children who understand their identity in Jesus Christ. Dr. Vandervoort serves as a member of the Guntersville City Board of Education and on the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Alabama Leadership Board.The Vandervoorts are proud to serve the communities of northeast Alabama through Patriot Dental.
